Kutatási területek
az idegsejtekre érkező bemenetek összegződési szabályainak kísérletes meghatározása;
funkcionális különbségek különböző típusú GABAerg interneuronok között agykérgi neuronhálózatokban;
agykérgi neuronok fiziológiailag és anatómiailag azonosított szinapszisainak kvantális, farmakológiai és plasztikus jellemzői
Oktatás
A Szegedi Tudományegyetemen 1992 óta oktat rendszeresen. Oktatási tevékenységét 1998-tól máig kutatói szabadságon látja el. 2000 óta rendszeres oktatója az International Brain Research Organization és a Federation of European Neuroscience Societies téli és nyári iskoláinak. Tanítványai két első helyezést értek el az Országos Tudományos Diákköri Konferenciákon, végzett doktorandusz hallgatói pedig japán és kaliforniai laboratóriumokban nyertek el posztdoktori kutatói pozíciókat.
